This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Unlockify app and our website unlockify.dev. By using Unlockify, you agree to the practices described in this policy.Summary- No account required- No ads- Your tasks and app-lock settings stay on your device- App locking uses Apple's Screen Time APIs on your device- Optional Home Screen widgets and task reminders run on your deviceInformation Stored in the AppThe following is stored locally on your device only. We do not receive or store this on our servers:- Tasks you create (title, priority, due date, completion status)- App settings (appearance, task goal mode, daily threshold, hold-to-complete, task reminders)- Apps and categories you choose to lock- Daily progress and lock/unlock status- Onboarding status and privacy policy acceptance- Lifetime task count shown in the appA small amount of data is also shared on your device between the Unlockify app, its Home Screen widgets, and its background extension (for example, progress and lock status) so app locking, widgets, and reminders can work. Widgets show summary information only — not individual task titles. This data never leaves your device through our systems.You can delete this data anytime by uninstalling the app or using Settings → Reset all data in the app.Information We Receive From You1. Support messagesIf you contact us by email or through the contact form on unlockify.dev, we receive only what you choose to send (such as your email address and message). We use this only to respond to you.2. Website technical dataOur website hosting provider may process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs for security and operation. The Unlockify app itself does not collect this.Apple PermissionsScreen Time / Family Controls: Unlockify uses Apple's Screen Time API to lock and unlock selected apps based on task completion. This operates entirely on-device, and we do not access your app usage data or history.Notifications (optional): If you enable Task reminders in Settings, Unlockify schedules local notifications on your device (for example, an evening reminder if you still have unfinished tasks). Reminders are off by default, require your permission in iOS, and can be turned off anytime in the app or in Settings → Notifications → Unlockify. These are local notifications scheduled on your device — not push notifications sent from our servers.Home Screen widgets (optional): If you add Unlockify widgets, they display summary information from the app using data stored in your device's shared app storage. Widget data is not sent to us.Unlockify does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos.What We Do Not Collect in the AppThe Unlockify app does not:- Require an account- Collect your name or email inside the app- Upload your tasks or settings to our serversHow We Use Your Information- To provide and maintain the core functionality of Unlockify (processed locally on your device)- To respond to support requests and feedback you send us- To comply with legal obligations where requiredHow We Share Your InformationWe do not sell or rent your personal data.- Apple: When you use Screen Time / Family Controls, processing happens on your device under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.- Service providers: We may use providers to operate our website or email, only for messages you send us.- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or legal process.We do not receive your on-device app data, so we cannot share it.Data Retention- App data: Stays on your device until you reset it or delete the app.- Support messages: Kept only as long as needed to handle your request.- Website server logs: Kept for a limited time by our hosting provider.SecurityWe use reasonable measures to protect information you send us. Your task and lock data stays on your device under Apple's iOS security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.Your RightsDepending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information you have given us.In the app:- Revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings- Turn off task reminders in Settings → More settings- Remove Home Screen widgets in iOS- Delete app data in Unlockify → Settings → Reset all data- Uninstall the app to remove all local dataContact us at [email protected] for requests about information you sent us directly.Children's PrivacyUnlockify is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If such data is identified, it will be deleted.International TransfersWe are based in Germany. If you contact us from outside Germany, information you send us may be processed in Germany or where our service providers operate.Changes to This PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Last Updated date and, where appropriate, inform you in the app or on our website.
